My
name is Mrs. Jeni Goode, and I will be your child’s First Grade Teacher at
Captain Elementary for the 2015-2016 school year.
I
grew up in St. Louis going to St. Joseph’s Academy for high school. At the University
of Missouri-Columbia, I earned a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, and
received my Master’s in Reading from Webster University. Currently, I am
pursuing an Educational Specialist degree at Lindenwood University.
Prior
to coming to Clayton, I taught in the Jefferson City Public Schools where I
taught kindergarten, first, fourth and fifth grade. Also, while my children
were little, I was a stay-at-home mom and taught preschool.
This
is my tenth year at Captain Elementary, and my seventeenth year of teaching
elementary age children. My family lives in Webster Groves and my daughter, Anne
will be a freshman at Clayton High School and Carolyn will be in seventh grade
at Wydown Middle School. My husband, Peter, works at Washington University for
the Environmental Law Clinic. Plus, we
have a shih/tzu-bichon mix dog (small, white
& fluffy) named Rosie.
